I am an experienced German-trained psychiatrist specializing in medication management, psychotherapy, and addiction medicine. At FSHN, I work as a generalist and see patients of all ages, predominantly adults. While I see treat most mental health problems, I am also specialized in addictions of all kinds. My approach to mental health care is holistic in that I may prescribe medicine, counseling, and other specialized services available at FSHN. I provide services in Arabic, English, and German. I also provide care in-person and remotely via telehealth.
Prior to joining FSHN, I trained and worked at various sites in Germany. Most recently, I served as the Chief Consultant and Head of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Addiction Medicine at Alexianer St. Antonius Hospital in Hörstel, Germany where I oversaw all aspects of the Psychiatry Department, including clinical operations and quality compliance. I also served as a Consultant for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Evangelisches Lukas-Krankenhaus Gronau in Germany. There, I worked with a diverse group of patients and presenting problems including anxiety, depression, chronic mental health conditions, and addictions. I also supervised resident physicians and psychotherapists. Prior to this role, I served as a Specialist for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Addiction Medicine at Euregio Klinik in Nordhorn, Germany where I worked across various units and provided comprehensive care to patients with psychiatric, social, and substance use disorders. I also completed my Psychiatry Residency at Euregio Klinik, where I gained extensive experience across different psychiatric units, including acute care, addiction treatment, and outpatient services. Additionally, I spent one year as a resident physician in the neurology department, further broadening my medical expertise.
