I am a Canadian physical therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada in 2002. My career started as a full time clinician in private practice with Daniels Kimber Physiotherapy, one of the largest multidisciplinary clinics in western Canada from 2002-2009. I continued post graduate training earning a Certificate in Medical Acupuncture from the University of Alberta, Canada, completed an Internship of Medical Acupuncture in Beijing, China in the areas of orthopedics, pallitive care, cancer ward, obgyn & mental health, along side my earning my certifications in Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Orthopedic Division in Canada.
I moved to Kuwait in 2009 working as a physiotherapist and then Director of a Physiotherapy & Clinical Lead at Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute, where I completed 9 years of incredible growth with the organization. I accepted a new challenge & joined Diversified Integrated Sports Clinic, to create their new branch in Kuwait as their Operations Manager & Medical Director, from Jan 2018 until August 2020. As covid changed the course of how organizations worked in the world, I decided to leave Kuwait after 11 years, & spent the next two years consulting for international physiotherapy rehabilitation clinics online & in person when the world allowed, in Kuwait, Bermuda, Germany & Spain.
I have over 23 years of clinical experience and over 13 years of managerial & consulting administration. My acupuncture training has provided valuable diagnostic & treatment tools for treating chronic musculoskeletal conditions & providing adjunct holistic care in the areas of functional medicine & mental health wellness where traditional physiotherapy & western medicine may have fallen short. I enjoy teaching staff & the community how different disciplines can amalgamate therapies to provide the best treatment protocols for all areas of healing & wellness for the individual. My career started as a highly demanded clinician in prestigious multidisciplinary clinics that has laid the foundation to in my administrative roles to provide focused direction in developing & refining organizational policies, and providing understanding & support for all individual and team roles to create the best possible patient & staff experiences. I am excited to return not only to Kuwait, but to the organization that cemented my place in the medical community of Kuwait as the Director of Rehabilitation Services under the new name Fawzia Sultan Health Network, FSHN
