I am Dr. Charline El-Hachem Daher, a dedicated psychiatrist and passionate educator based in Beirut, Lebanon. My career in psychiatry began with rigorous training and academic pursuits, starting with a Master's degree in Neurosciences from the University of Bordeaux Segalen, France, in collaboration with Saint Joseph University, Beirut. Building upon this foundation, I pursued specialized training in Psychiatry at Saint Joseph University, earning a Psychiatry Specialty Diploma and further honing my expertise through international programs such as the Specialized Medical Diploma in Psychiatry (DFMS) from Paris Sud University and a University Diploma in Perinatal Psychiatry from Paris 7 University, France.

Throughout my career, I have held pivotal roles in both clinical practice and academia. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, I have contributed significantly to institutions renowned for their commitment to mental health, including the Order of Malta and Hotel-Dieu de France Hospital in Beirut. My clinical practice encompasses a wide range of psychiatric disorders with a particular focus on women's issues, eating disorders, child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and perinatal psychiatry.

In parallel with my clinical work, I am deeply committed to education and research. I have been an active lecturer at Saint-Joseph University for several years, teaching and mentoring students at the School of Medicine, School of Midwives, and the Higher Institute of Speech and Language Therapy. My research interests are diverse and include studies on eating disorders following traumatic events, the impact of crises on psychiatric hospitalizations, and the psychological effects of major disasters such as the Beirut explosion. As a member of the Lebanese Psychiatric Society, where I currently serve as President-Elect, and various other professional associations, I am actively involved in advancing psychiatric care standards and advocating for mental health awareness in Lebanon and beyond. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, I am dedicated to bridging cultural and linguistic divides in psychiatric care, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate treatment.
