Drawing on my extensive experience in community mental health in both the United States and the Middle East, including over a decade at FSHN, I support individuals, couples, and families in the treatment of psychological and emotional difficulties. I specialize in trauma-informed longer-term individual therapy for deep healing and inner-child work, as well as treating complex trauma (C-PTSD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), narcissistic abuse trauma, and personality disorders. I also specialize in PTSD disability evaluations for military service members, Veterans Affairs (VA), and Defense Base Act (DBA) purposes.
After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, I was honored to receive the Fulbright Scholarship to study in the United States. I received both a Master’s degree and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco. Prior to joining FSHN 10 years ago, I trained for 2 years at San Francisco Bay Area community mental health clinics, providing trauma-informed psychological services to underserved populations in the area. I then spent 2 years at the University of California, Davis (UCD) providing psychological services and consultations to staff, faculty members, and the broader UCD community. I can provide therapeutic services in both English and Arabic.
