Dr. George Chedid
Back to our team
Neuropsychologist and Psychotherapist, Ph.D.

I am a psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience practicing in both Canada and Lebanon, working with diverse populations across cultural and societal contexts. I hold a PhD in neuropsychology and cognitive science from the University of Montreal and a Master’s degree in Behavioral Therapy. My work is deeply rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), utilizing evidence-based techniques to empower clients to navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD.
Through my practice, I employ a range of CBT tools, including cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and mindfulness-based strategies, to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, regulate emotions, and develop healthier behaviors. By tailoring therapeutic approaches to each individual’s unique needs, I provide a comprehensive and personalized journey toward healing and growth.
Creating a safe, non-judgmental space is at the heart of my therapeutic approach. I believe that empathy and genuine understanding are the cornerstones of effective therapy, allowing clients to feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore their inner worlds. My goal is to foster a therapeutic alliance where clients feel comfortable confronting their struggles and building resilience.
Over the years, I have gained extensive experience training therapists and managing clinical teams, combining academic knowledge with practical solutions to address mental health challenges effectively. As a dedicated lecturer and researcher, I have published articles and taught subjects such as cognitive psychology, health psychology and personality theories.
