I am a dedicated Psychiatrist with a rich history of service and providing high quality care.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience providing mental health services to various communities in Kuwait. I began journey at the Kuwait Center for Mental Health, where I trained in various clinical modalities and served in various leadership roles including as the Deputy Head of the Short Term Assessment and Treatment Unit (STAT), Head of the Daycare Rehabilitation and Community Services Unit, and the Head of Unit Six, General Psychiatry Unit. Throughout all of these leadership roles in psychiatry, I have focused on providing compassionate and personalize psychiatric care to patients of all ages and presenting problems.
In addition to my clinical work I am also actively involved in academic and public services. I am assigned at Kuwait University’s Psychiatry Department, Faculty of Medicine. I also work in the Public Authority of Disability Affair (PADA). During the COVID-19 pandemic, I assumed additional leadership roles including serving as the Head of the COVID-19 Psychiatry Consultation and Medication Unit and I helped pioneer the launch of the Telepsychiatry Rehabilitation Program and Services.
I am qualified to see patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, and older adults. I treat patients with almost most mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more. I provide psychiatry in Arabic and English and sessions can be help in-person and remotely via telehealth. All patient contact with FSHN and me is kept private and highly confidential.
I am dedicated to making a positive impact on improving mental health in Kuwait and I look forward to working with you.
