Biography

Jelena is a Licensed Psychologist and Gestalt Therapist with more than 15 years of clinical experience in a range of different settings, including psychiatric hospital, a community-based youth and family organisation, a prison/forensic setting, educational institution, and private counselling centre. She is a person-centred therapist with holistic approach to mental health care and life. Jelena is passionate about helping children, adolescents and adults to overcome their difficulties, and to lead happier and more fulfilling lives. Jelena has experience in working with people from various cultural backgrounds & has worked with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, compulsive eating, PTSD, loss & bereavement, and other. Jelena also has extensive training and experience conducting psychological assessments. She conducts psychological and psychoeducational assessments for ADHD, learning difficulties and various other diagnostic concerns including PTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, and personality disorders.

Jelena holds a Ph.D. Degree in Biomedicine and Health Sciences; a Master Practitioner Diploma in Eating Disorders & Obesity from National Centre For Eating Disorders (NCFED), UK, and Certificate in Hypnotherapy from The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, London, UK.

Jelena is a member of British Psychological Society, National Centre for Eating Disorders UK, EMDR Association UK & Ireland, Middle East Psychological Association (MEPA), Croatian Psychological Society, Association of Psychotherapy Societies of Croatia, Croatian Psychological Chamber, Croatian Society for Traumatic Stress, and Croatian Association of Gestalt & Integrative Psychotherapists.
