Exercise therapy is designed to improve and maintain overall well-being, prevent injury, and accelerate rehabilitation after surgery or injury. Your exercise therapist will design a tailor-made program based on your health and rehabilitation needs and goals . Exercise Therapy programs usually include a combination of specific stretching, strengthening, proprioceptive (balance) and/or aerobic components. 

Our exercise therapists can also help you promote your fitness, improve your exercise technique or prepare you for a successful return to the gym after physiotherapy, through our personal training programs. If necessary, your personal trainer will discuss your case with you and your therapist to design a tailor-made training program that works best for your individual needs.

Can anyone indulge in exercise therapy?

Yes, anyone can indulge in exercise therapy. However, if you are suffering from any injuries or illnesses, or if you have had any previous surgeries, it is always recommended to ask your doctor or physiotherapist before indulging in exercise therapy.

What can I do to prepare for my exercise session?

Please ensure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear, drink enough water (fluids) before exercise to stay hydrated throughout the session, eat well 2-3 hours before you start your exercise.

Can I start exercise therapy at the same time as physiotherapy?

Yes, in fact this proves to be a good idea most of the time. Our clinicians in physiotherapy and exercise therapy programs work closely together to make sure you achieve your health and well-being goals.
